Do you love Organic Alpaca yarn? I do! If you are on a tight budget but still want to work with the finest yarn, which also good for the environment, I can’t recommend enough to choose this Simply Alpaca!
Why I love Simply Alpaca yarn so much?
I love wearing natural fibers since it’s going to get in touch with my skin, and as you know, our skin is the largest organ on our entire body. It’s absorb everything and anything in contact with it. Alpaca is breathable and perfect for the cold weather. It’s warm yet, so light to wear. You want to make sure that your Alpaca comes from a good source for that; I give Simply Alpaca yarn from We Crochet more stars! This yarn is ecological with a great price tag that will snug your body with a warm embrace without burning your wallet.
What about working with it? Does it harder to crochet when it’s 100% natural fibre?
Not at all! Rather it’s the opposite. I am all about natural material. I love wearing cotton, bamboo, linen in Spring & Summer. Wool & Alpaca in Autumn & Winter. Some of you are not fans of natural material because Acrylic is soft and way cheaper. I get it, and I will not persuade you to jump on my boat even though I think if you tried working with natural fibre, you would never want to go back to plastic again.
I love blocking my crochet work right after I finished with it. Watch this video where I show how I steam block my crochet piece.
3 IMPORTANT steps when washing your Alpaca yarn or any natural fibers
- Hand washes with cold water only.
- DO NOT pull up your work while it’s soaking wet. Instead, squeeze out the water section by section gently and also avoid intensive squeezing because it will cause wrinkles on your work.
- NEVER hang up your work with the clothes hanger! You want to only lay flat to dry. This product saved my life and my sweaters!

What is on my hook right now?
I am in the process of designing men’s wear! Yeah, you heard me correct. This will be the first pattern that I will share with you, my tribe. I am super excited about this vision. I want to present my husband something special, and I think this Cardigan (to be) using Simply Alpaca yarn will make him super happy! He loves organic Alpaca yarn!
These are the colors range they have.
I am making an oversized M/L men’s cardigan. At the moment, it is hard to say how many skeins you will need for the project. But I do own 12 skeins, which I think it’s more than enough. I will definitely write an update when I know the exact number skeins of the final project with you.
Have you worked with Simply Alpaca yarn before? If so, how do you like it?
