Learn how to crochet lace-up socks for a cozy day at home or a special date night. You can make a long or a short version as you like. This is an easy crochet project for the FALL season.
This pattern was one of the first patterns I designed in 2017. The socks are made out of 2 different yarn weights. The one almost at my knee-length made out of sport weight yarn, and the short one made with Dk weight yarn. You can use a different yarn weight for this project. Although, make sure you check the gauge swatch below.
Have you ever crochet lace-up socks before? If you haven’t yet and want to make it. You will love the result of this one. This crochet lace-up socks are so fun to make and don’t take that long as you might think π
Yarn
I used Lana Grossa for the long socks because I have it lying around in my house already, and I thought 4% of polyester would make it a bit elastic-like, but it actually acts the same as 100% cotton. And the short pairs made out of 100% cotton from Fibra Natura because I have this yarn in my house already too, and I love the color so much. I can see these socks in Wool or Alpaca as well. However, for me, crochet lace-up socks work better with the small size of yarn.
Inspiration
I think I was missing the flowers in my life. It was the end of Autumn and the beginning of Winter 2017 when I designed these. I want to make something that feminine and bring me closer to nature. Even though the lace part of these socks doesn’t give my leg much warmth, yet it warms my heart.
I hope you will enjoy this free pattern and if you want to get a printable pattern ads-free and have a chance to support my work for a small exchange. You can do it at Ravelry (preferable) or Etsy.

Measure approximately 2 Β½ to your ankle.
Check your measurement. This is my measurement.
Now change the hook to size 4mm.
Rnd26 – Rnd30 rep Rnd6 a total of 32hdc, (37)
Note: If you are making size 40 and want to have more space. You can definitely add another round here. DO NOT FORGET to count the additional round to your work.

Here is a short version of 5rows
Iβve repeated 5 times of the pattern plus 3 rows to complete my sock. Feel free to make as many rows as You wish.
I tried it on and it looks too open at the front because my leg isnβt that small π If You like the look this way. You can make 300 ch and do the corset for closure. But I add side rows for a better snug. This is totally optional.
I will do the side boxes down to where my red stitch marker is.
Extra snug side boxes
R.1 – ch5, 1dc in the between row, *ch2, 1dc in the between row, rep from* downward in a total of 14 boxes, turn
R.2 rep R.1
Suggestion: 2rows, 4rows, 4rows
ch 1, cut the yarn
Then sl kn to the other side and rep the same steps to create the boxes design.
Now try it on π and see if it fits You. Itβs will seem small and tight at first, but will stretch out after a few times wearing.
You will need to rep all steps to create another side to complete Your socks. This is mine one π
