Yarn

This is the same yarn I used for my FALL Vest. It is Andean Treasure 100% Baby Alpaca from We Crochet. I love yarn and I plan to crochet a matching wrists warmers using the leftover of it.

Inspiration

The weather plays a big role in my work. I love Autumn! The colors of the leaves and the freshness that Autumn brings give me many ideas to create. I love seeing the pretty colors of the leaves and how they are falling on the ground. It reminds me to let go and accept that changing is the only constant thing in life. I love that!

Material

• Sport weight yarn/#2. I used 197 yards of Andean Treasure 100% Baby Alpaca from We Crochet Colors: brown (24938), beige (26565).
• Hook 4 mm
• Measuring tape
• Stitch marker
• Buttons
• Yarn needle & scissors

Abbreviation US term

ch = chain

sc = single crochet

dc = double crochet

Shell stitch = 3dc, ch2, 3dc

sk = skip

bet = between

rep = repeat

sp = space

Note: The beginning ch if not stated as stitch it’s simply meant to build up the yarn.

The pattern is a multiple of 10

Start with ch 50 + 4

Colors code: Br = Brown, Be = Beige

R.1 – dc in 8th ch from hook, dc in each of next 3ch, *ch2, sk next 2ch, dc in each of next 2ch, ch2, sk next 2ch, dc in each of next 4ch, rep from* across to within last 3ch, ch2, sk next 2ch, dc in last ch, turn

R.2 – ch1, sc in first dc, *sk next 2dc, shell stitch bet last skipped and next dc, sk next 2ch-sp**; sc in each of next 2dc, rep from* across, ending last rep at**, sc in next ch of turning ch, turn

R.3 – ch6 (counts as dc, ch3), *2sc in next ch2-sp, ch3, sk next 3dc**, dc in each of next 2sc, ch3, rep from* across, ending last rep at** dc in last sc, turn

R.4 – ch5 (counts as dc, ch2), *dc in next ch3-sp, dc in each of next 2sc, dc in next ch3-sp, ch2**, dc in each of next 2dc, rep from* across, ending last rep at**, dc in 3rd ch of turning ch, turn
