Learn how to crochet an off-the-shoulder top with bell sleeves to wear with it. I also love to match these shorts with my other 3/4 sleeve top as well.
What about wearing them with this top?
So what is the inspiration behind these crochet hot pants?
If you are a regular reader of my blog, you probably see that I am into the 70s fashion at the moment. These shorts are just another piece that I like to have in my wardrobe for this summer. I love the perfect fit of these crochet hot pants and I can’t wait to match them with my other crochet garments.
MATERIALS
- Coboo/DK weight/#3 colors Mauve & Tan. Double strands. A total of 768 yards.
- Hook 6 & 8mm
- Measuring tape
- 3 buttons – Size: 11/16
- Stitch marker
- Yarn needle & Scissors
The measurements you need:
- Belly button in circumference or wherever you want the band of the shorts to be.
- The widest hip in circumference.
My measurements:
- The belly button in circumference is 32β
- The widest hip in circumference is 36β
Letβs do the match:
32β subtract 1β = 31β
87ch (when pulled to its fullest) is 31β
Although, 87ch = 29β
IMPORTANT
- Pls, use gauge swatch as a guideline only. The stretchiness of your yarn plays a big role in this project.
- After 1row of the band has made, put it against your body or against the measuring tape, pull to its fullest potential but NOT TIGHTEN. It should match with your measurement after subtracting 1β.
