Crochet Chevron Sweater is my all-time favorite. Do you like crochet chevron stitch? And what about a chevron sweater? I saw many crochet chevron stitch blanket but not so much as a garment though. I thought it would be fun to design a crochet sweater/pullover using this stitch. I have a free pattern on my blog to share with you.

How often do you work with Alpaca yarn? I know that Alpaca is not cheap but I have found this Alpaca to be very reasonable for such high-quality fiber. This is ecological Alpaca yarn I love. I wrote a whole blog post about it here.
Inspiration
My husband is my inspiration for this piece. I know that he loves Alpaca yarn and I know these colors would look amazing on him. First, I want to design a cardigan, but since I have never worked with chevron stitch before I thought something less complicated would be better for the first men wear. The more I work on this piece the more I love it as a pullover/sweater. During the process, I was trying it on so many times and I thought “I do need this crochet chevron sweater myself” ahahahah
The challenge
One of the most challenging parts of this process is to find how many sets should I start with? I was started with 5sets but ended up with 6 sets. To prevent this to happen to you, I suggest you make a gauge swatch shown in the pattern. Also, read what I need you to know part from me and my team at the last pages of the pattern.

Filling the gaps
After you’ve done all the rows of chevron design, now it is time to fill the gaps or the valleys. It took me sometimes to find the right stitches to fill the gaps with a rich texture, but I finally did it.
Scblo for a sleeve
The simple sleeve make this piece complete. It took me long time to finish the sleeve because I have many ideas for the sleeve, but at the end I go with the simple scblo.
