So I finally uploaded this video tutorial for You. Although, I have split into 2 videos this time. Some of You have asked me, why my sweater is so short? Because I have only 8 skeins of this yarn but You can make Your sweater as long as You wish to make by following the video and the written pattern below. So let start on the first part, shall we? 😉
I used Sugar Baby Alpaca for this project. You can purchase them here
In this project, I made size S, and have used 8 skeins of the yarn.
You will need more for a bigger size.
S = 8 skeins
M = 10 skeins
L = 12 Skeins
XL = 14 skeins
If You want Your sweater to be twice longer than mine, then add 6 more skeins for the body part and 2 more skeins for the sleeves if You want it to be longer as well.
Skill level: Intermediate
Crochet terminology: US

In this written pattern, I am demonstrated size small/s
Start with 105ch
R.1 – hdc in 3rd ch from hook in each ch across, turn (total of 103ch)
R.2 – ch1, 1sc in each st across, turn
R.3 – ch2 (count as 1hdc), 1hdc in next 3sc, sk 3sts, *FPtr in next 3sc, FPtr in 3skipped sc, 1hdc in next 4sc, rep from* across, turn
R.4 – ch1, 1sc in each st across, turn
R.5 – ch2 (count as 1hdc), skip first st, 1hdc in next 3sc, *1FPdc in next of 6sc (make sure it’s aligning with the FPtr from R.3), 1hdc in next 4sc, rep from* across, turn
R.6 – ch1, 1sc in each st across, turn
R.7 – ch2 (count as 1hdc), skip first st, 1hdc in next 3sc, *1FPdc in next of 6sc (make sure it’s aligning with FPdc from R.5 and FPtr from R.3), 1hdc in next 4sc, rep from* across, turn
Rep R. 2 – R.7 for the pattern
Keep making as long as You wish Your sweater to be. I have made 9 times of 7 rows. The length of my sweater is 12.5” inches
Make another identical piece as we need to have the front and the back part.
Connect the shoulder part together by counting 3 rows from both sides. You can watch the video if You are not sure what I mean.
Sewing the front and the back together, both right and left sides.
The sides body
You can try it on and see how wide You want the armhole to be. The average is 7.5” inches, use the stitch markers to mark the points. Sew the front and the back together from the bottom up to where the stitch markers are. Do the same the other side. I suggest You watch the video for better understanding.
The sleeves (part2)
