Fall collection 2017, Heart opening

Selu’s Prelude

I’ve spent a great amount of time on this piece. It looks simple, but I’m telling You, I have undo and redo it so many times. Especially the armhole and the neckline. But I really love the result of the first piece of the Fall collection 2017.

I am not such a big fan of wool, but this organic wool is an exception. I love the thickness of this one. Also the warm feeling that I get. In fact, I’m wearing it right now 😂 I got these organic yarn since last winter from Stoff & Stil. I used 2 different colors on this top because I have no idea how much yarn I would need to complete this design. I thought it would look weird, but it’s actually nice. 😍 don’t You think?

I want to make more pieces with bulky cotton though. I’m not sure how warm it gives, but I would like to try it out. SoI have been searching all day long for bulky cotton yarn and found a nice yarn that one of my beloved crochet fellow recommended me Billow from KnitPicks but they do not ship to Germany. So I found another company that ship to where I live, it’s Yarn & Colors Fabulous but it’s not 100% cotton. It’s 50/50 cotton/Acrylic. I am not a fan of Acrylic at all. But I will give it a try and see how I feel about it, if You have any suggestion of bulky cotton yarn that You like, feel free to leave Your word in the comment below.

I was intended to work on the written pattern and video tutorial of this top today. But in reality, I have spent over 10 hours fixing this blog and finally it’s working. So I will start to edit the video tutorial for my exclusive Patron only and written pattern to send out to my Patrons to test it, hopefully tomorrow evening.

OMG! Again 2:25am! Time is flying without mercy..

Good night!

    1. Selu’s Prelude comes from French mythology. She is a Goddess, a Corn mother that gives her blessing food to all her children on this Earth. Anne from our crochet group on Facebook gives this name to the top.
I found it very beautiful and meaningful.

  1. Your work is so outstanding with a different feel and look that I love. Although I am in my 60s I have dressed this way for years but love this top and kimono so much. I am rushing to finish an order for 10 throw pillows so that I can make the top and kimono. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful work with us and blessings to you. Have safe travels when you leave but hurry back as this is the most interesting work I have seen in years. It touches my heart!!
