Free written pattern ~ Fairy-Ista knee-highs socks

Are You ready!

Yeah! I finally launched this pattern now! I also patiently wait for this moment and I believe You too. I’ve made 3 pairs of these socks already. My last one is the shorter version and I love love it too. I know that some of You have a hard time with crocheting 2 pieces such socks. But I’m telling You, these socks are so fun to make! Especially the lace part. I really love how it works up so quickly and the way it looks so delicate that I would dream of the wedding gowns matching with these sexy knee-highs socks for such a romantic day/night.

It’s so dreamy, isn’t it! So let’s get started with the pattern, shall we! Below is the written pattern that I share for free here. If You prefer ad-free and downloadable pdf format of 29 pages step by step HD quality photos to walk You through, You can purchase on my Ravelry or Etsy

Start with the hook size 3.75mm

Make the magic ring

Size: 35 – 37

R.1 – ch 2, 13 hdc inside the magic ring, sl st in 2nd ch from the beginning,

R.2 – ch 2, 1 hdc in each st across, sl st in 2nd ch from the beginning,

R.3 – ch 2, *2 hdc in the first ch, 1 hdc in the next ch, rep from* across, sl st in 2nd ch from the beginning,

R.4 – ch 2, *1 hdc in each of next 2 ch, 2 hdc in the next ch, rep from* across, sl st in 2nd ch from the beginning,

R.5 – ch 2, *1 hdc in each of next 3 ch, 2 hdc in the next ch, rep from* across, sl st in 2nd ch from the beginning,

R.6 – ch 2, 1 hdc in each st across, (in total of 32 ch), sl st in 2nd ch from the beginning,

R.7R.25 rep R.6 total of 32 ch

Now change the hook to size 4mm.

R.26 – R.30 rep R.6 total of 32 ch

Now change the hook to size 3.75mm.

R.31 – R.34 rep R.6 total of 32 ch

R.35 – ch 2, *1 hdc in the each of next 5 ch, sk 1, rep from* across,(in total of 27 ch), sl st in 2nd ch from the beginning,

R.36 – ch 2, 1 hdc in each st across,(in total of 27 ch), sl st in 2nd ch from the beginning,

Lace design

R.1 – ch 3, dc in 4th ch from hook (count as 1 dc), 1 dc in each of next 4 ch, *3 dc in the next ch, ch 3, sk 2, 1 sc in the next ch, ch 3, sk 2, 3 dc in the next ch**, 1 dc in each of next 5 ch, rep from*-**, 1 dc in the last ch, turn

R.2 – ch 5, sk 1 ch, *3 DcClust on top of 3 dc in previous row, 3 DcClust on top of next 3 dc in previous row, ch 2, 1 dc in each of next 5 ch**, ch 2, rep from*-** finish with last dc on top of 3rd ch of turning ch, turn

Learn how to make double crochet cluster from this video

R.3 – ch 3 (count as 1 dc), sk 1st ch, 1 dc in each of next 4 ch, *ch 1, 3 dc in middle space between the DcClust sts, ch 3, 3 dc in the same middle space of DcClust sts, ch 1**,  Sk 2 ch, 1 dc in each of next 5 ch, rep from*-**, finish with 1 dc in 3rd ch of turning ch, turn

R.4 – ch 3, *sk 1 ch, 3 DcClust on top of 3 dc in previous row, ch 2, 1 sc in ch-3 loop, ch 2, 3 DcClust on top of 3 dc in previous row, sk 1 ch, 1 dc in each of next 5 ch**, rep from*-**, finish with last dc in 3rd ch of turning ch, turn

R.5 – ch 3, 1 dc in each st across, (here I got 25 ch st at the end because I did not sk 1st ch, however, when You start R.1 again the pattern will force You to have 24 ch st. You can simply sk 1st ch on this roll if You want the result will be the same), turn

Rep R.1 R.5 for pattern

The difference is R.1ch 3 (count as 1 dc), sk 1st ch, 1 dc in each of next 4 ch and the rest continue as the pattern above

I’ve repeated 5 times of the pattern plus 3 rows to complete my sock. Feel free to make as many rows as You wish.

I tried it on and it looks too open at the front because my leg isn’t that small 😉 If You like the look this way. You can make 300 ch and do the corset for closure. But I add side rows for a better snug. This is totally optional.

Extra snug side boxes

R.1 – ch 5, 1 dc in the between row, *ch 2, 1 dc in the between row, rep from* downward in total of 14 boxes

R.2 rep R.1 ch 1, cut the yarn

Then sl kn to the other side and rep the same step as the side to create the boxes design.

Now try it on 😉 and see if it fits You. It’s will seem small and tight at first, but will stretch out after a few times wearing.

You will need to rep all steps to create another side to complete Your socks. This is mine one 🙂

Size: 38 – 40

R.1 –  ch 2, 15 hdc inside the magic ring, sl st in 2nd ch from the beginning,

R.6 – ch 2, 1 hdc in each st across, (in total of 37 ch), sl st in 2nd ch from the beginning,
